Playwright Portrait, Young Jean Lee, Excerpt from Groundwork of the Metaphysic of Morals
The Playwright Young Jean Lee, 2007
GROUNDWORK OF THE METAPHYSIC OF MORALS:
FAH LO SEE:
Everything is fairly clear and straightforward, like on a balcony in bare feet with the stone of the balcony against your face, shot in the back, fallen to the ground with an arrow sticking out of your head.
And I’m sorry to have been such a disappointment to you. I mean that sincerely. But I also feel kind of like, fuck you.

Lens Culture Feedback Playwright Portrait Project
link
Peter Bellamy | LensCulture
Hello Peter.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to give you some feedback by sharing your photos with Lens Culture.
First and foremost I like your work. It’s a beautiful, interesting and genuine work.
Technically all of your pictures are impeccable and they demonstrate great ability and confidence. You include in your photos strong photographic qualities, such as efficient lighting, strong composition, a perfect framing and alluring aesthetics. All these elements are making a complete portrait and this is what I see here.
I like that you chose to use environmental portraits. This thing brings more elements in the frame, enhances the narrative of your series and it offers a visual diversity. I like that here each picture offers something new and fresh to the whole.
Something else that is good, is your statement. The statement is one of the most important components of the contemporary photography. It’s a well-developed statement about your inspiration and intention for those portraits. It’s important for a photographer to be able to express those ideas in a statement. Jurors and reviewers always looking there to learn more things about a work.
About your question. This kind of works are always interesting and their value is timeless, so keep up the good work.
Peter, my engagement with your pictures was a delightful experience. You are a very good and talented photographer and I am looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future.
Take care.

The Book of Common Prayer (17. For Church Musicians and Artists)
From The Book of Common Prayer
(17. For Church Musicians and Artists)
O God, whom saints and angels delight to worship in heaven: Be ever present with your servants who seek through art and music to perfect the praises offered by your people on earth; and grant to them even now glimpses of your beauty, and make them worthy at length to behold it unveiled for evermore; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
