I am saddened to learn of your Dad’s passing. There was a time when you were young in the 1980s, when I knew him well. Through ---- I came to meet both you and your Mom, whom I was saddened to learn passed sometime previous to your father. This was before your brother was born.
I became connected some what cosmically at the time to all of you through a family portrait, I took one evening on ----------- Avenue. It was part of a project of portraits I was doing of artists in the 80s.
It is because of this that I want to express my condolences to you and your brother.
When we loss our parents, our lives change and our perspective of the world becomes deeper, for through this great loss we understand that life is only in passing. There is a sadness at losing those whom brought us into the world through their love.
