Jonah
Jonah:
“I think God is when you are truly, fully, in your body. When you have your thoughts and you have your body and they’re somehow messily joined for a few seconds, even, like when you’re a child and you’re running through the cold air in the fall, and your chest hurts and you’re cold but you’re also sweating and you know you only have a few more minutes before someone calls you inside but you’re just running until then and you feel absolutely completely fucking alive, or when you’re with someone you trust, in your bones you trust them and you’re with them and every particle and every thought somehow connect into this breathing, beautiful, vibrating—vessel—when all the disparate parts of your body join each other in this exultant moment of of of—power—that is—divine. That is God. And when I stopped being in my body, I lost God.
That’s why I stopped believing.”
