Hi Peter,
Here are two quotes, we prefer the first, but if you have room for two, these two really tell our story as creators and help define our aesthetic.
1)
MARIA: It wasn’t enough that we were poor, they wanted us to look poor. They wanted us to walk in there with ripped up ponchos and flies over our heads. But mom would never take us anywhere looking like that. Showing up somewhere looking like we had nothing would have been the biggest shame of her life.
2)
CINDY: I think my grandmother’s last breath took the air out of our family. The lemons fell off the tree she planted and no one had time to pick them up. No one watered her rose bushes, no one took care of the stray dogs and cats she cursed at but always fed and we started locking the front door. My mom didn’t cry, she said we had to be strong and get used to my grandma not being around. But I could still hear her voice whispering the rosary.
Let us know if you need anything else,
Camilo
